More fucking health problems

So I have convinced myself that I have Hepatitis C.
Sigh
I haven't been feeling well. Always nauseous, upset stomach, no appetite, super thirsty, dark urine even though I drink a lot of water... So I finally went to the doctor. She does a bunch of blood tests and sends me for an ultrasound of my abdomen. My doc's nurse calls and tells me that "everything was normal" but I am still being referred to a specialist. Well, during this time I start feeling better. I think it is because I have started to watch what I eat, not eat out as often, no pop, not as much sugar, etc. I don't make the appointment with the specialist.
Then the mail comes.

My lab work and ultrasound results.

I have elevated liver enzymes and an enlarged liver. WTF? I WAS TOLD MY BLOOD WORK WAS NORMAL AND MY ULTRASOUND WAS GOOD!??? And we aren't talking a little elevated. Healthy range is between 50-136, mine were 168.

So of course I consult the Internet. Mayo Clinic and WebMd. Could be my medication, if I drank it could be the alcohol, it could be heart problems, it could be cancer, it could be Hep C.

What are the symptoms for Hep C? Upset stomach, nausea, dark urine, joint pain, jaundice (usually at the later stages). Well, fuck. I have all that. I always have joint pain. I chalked that up to the fall down the stairs I had two years ago. Oh- did I mention I have two dozen tattoos? Yep. One of the main transmitters of Hep C, dirty tattoo needles. S.H.I.T.

A little side story. I got a tattoo when I moved here. I was new in town and just popped in a shop one day. The guy told me he had been doing tattoos for 16 years, nope. Six months. I don't remember if he opened the pack from a sterile wrapper. SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT. He gave me a crappy tattoo. I had to have it redone. He went way too deep, and it scared. So that is where I am thinking the Hep C came from.

So there is the long dirty story. I have convinced myself that I have Hep C. Fuck. Me. If I am lucky it will be gall bladder problems. BUT the ultrasound didn't pick up any gall stones, or enlargements there.

Wish me luck. I see the specialist in two weeks.
